This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Evaluation and authorization of builds (central to the role): Assess individual builds requested by game developers in the hub, along with builds in the publishing process.
• Test each submitted build across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and representative scenarios from our user base — both desktop and, when relevant, mobile.
• Analyze performance, load times, download size, memory usage, behavior under varying network conditions, and stability during prolonged sessions.
• Reproduce and document bugs comprehensively: steps to reproduce, evidence (video, screenshots, logs), severity, and anticipated player impact.
• Approve, reject, or request modifications for each build, keeping an organized record of decisions.
• Review game pages (store pages): assets, screenshots, videos, descriptions, age ratings, and localization to PT-BR when applicable.
• Review pages developed internally by the spawnd development team.
• Have the autonomy to test and review already-published (live) items, including both back-catalog and new titles that enter production during your employment.
• Demonstrated previous experience in at least one of the following areas: game QA, game/app reviews for app stores (Apple, Google, Steam, console stores), game production with direct responsibility for quality, or related fields.
• Genuine familiarity with gaming culture: you play, understand genres, references, and trends, and can articulate why a game excels or falls short.
• A technical perspective to identify issues in builds: bugs, performance, compatibility, and regressions between versions.
• Proficient written English — a fundamental requirement for the role.
• Competent written Portuguese for internal documentation, decision recording, and team communication.
• Independence, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a remote setting, with clear written records of your work.
• Sound judgment and strong criteria: the role entails subjective quality decisions, and we seek someone who can defend their choices with well-reasoned arguments.
