Mid-level Database Engineer – SQL Server, Open-Source

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement, migrate, enhance, and optimize database environments for improved performance.

• Identify and suggest automation solutions to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

• Manage highly critical database environments effectively.

• Collaborate closely with development teams.

• Monitor environments and establish mechanisms for maintaining them.

• Develop and execute infrastructure as code, including automations, deployments, and Continuous Delivery.

• Address incidents and conduct root cause analysis to formulate and implement action plans.

• Assist in internal and external audits by clarifying database processes and providing necessary evidence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in implementing and administering SQL Server databases as well as at least one other database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform.

• Mandatory experience with Linux environments.

• Desirable experience with DevOps culture, including automation for database provisioning, configuration, versioning, and monitoring.

• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Shell Script, Java, etc.).
