Mid-level Database Engineer – Oracle DBRE, GoldenGate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement, migrate, upgrade, and optimize performance in database environments.

• Identify and suggest automations to address operational bottlenecks.

• Manage mission-critical environments effectively.

• Collaborate closely with development teams.

• Monitor and establish mechanisms to maintain environments.

• Develop and execute infrastructure as code, including automation, deployment, and Continuous Delivery.

• Resolve incidents and conduct root cause analysis to formulate and implement action plans.

• Assist in internal and external audits by elucidating database processes and extracting necessary evidence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and administering Oracle databases and Oracle GoldenGate.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is advantageous.

• Experience with at least one public cloud provider.

• Strong knowledge of Linux is essential.

• Knowledge of AIX is a plus.

• Experience with DevOps culture and automation for provisioning, configuration, version control, and monitoring of databases is desirable.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Shell scripting, or Java.
