Mid-level Database Engineer – DBRE Oracle & GoldenGate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement, migrate, enhance, and optimize performance within database environments.

• Identify and suggest automations to alleviate operational bottlenecks.

• Manage high-criticality environments.

• Collaborate effectively with development teams.

• Monitor and establish monitoring mechanisms to sustain environments.

• Develop and execute infrastructure as code, covering automation, deployments, and Continuous Delivery.

• Address incidents and conduct root-cause analysis to formulate and implement action plans.

• Assist in internal and external audits by clarifying database processes and providing evidence.

• Operate across various database environments characterized by high availability, scalability, and resilience features.

• Engage in an agile culture utilizing Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and managing Oracle databases and GoldenGate.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is advantageous.

• Experience with at least one public cloud platform.

• Essential experience in Linux environments.

• Preferable experience in AIX environments.

• Preferable background in DevOps culture, including automation for provisioning, configuration, versioning, and monitoring of database environments.

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Shell Script, or Java.
