Mid-level Backend Spark Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance data pipelines utilizing Apache Spark.

• Create effective and scalable queries using SQL (ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and refine both business and technical requirements.

• Engage in code reviews and promote best practices in coding and version control with Git.

• Assist in data processing and transformation tasks across distributed systems.

• Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions.

• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely project completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1.5 to 2 years of experience in data engineering or software development.

• Proficient knowledge of SQL (ANSI SQL, Hive SQL, Spark SQL, or similar).

• Strong understanding of Apache Spark.

• Programming experience in Scala, Python, or Java.

• Familiarity with Git or comparable version control systems.

• English proficiency at a B2+ level or higher.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
