Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create, test, and deploy new features that enhance the Granular Energy Platform. This involves tackling complex optimization challenges that align green energy consumption with production, alongside managing and mitigating financial risks.

• Collaborate with product teams and other departments to define and refine new product functionalities.

• Contribute to enhancing team culture and improving operational practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• While the number of years of experience is not the most accurate indicator, candidates are expected to have approximately 3-6 years of professional background.

• Proficient in a high-level programming language such as Python, Java, or C#. Familiarity with Python is not mandatory; we are looking for skilled developers who are eager to work primarily in Python.

• Confidently utilize AI to enhance development speed.

• Experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial markets, with a strong understanding of ETRM/CTRM systems and end-to-end processes is highly beneficial.

• Demonstrate a passion for team best practices, culture, well-being, and overall productivity.

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, thoroughly tested software.

• Fluent in English.

• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Experience in startup or remote work settings is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, is a strong plus, especially with time-series experience.

• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as pandas or polars is a plus.

• An analytical mindset or a strong mathematical background is advantageous.
