Mid-level Backend Developer – USD Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain backend services utilizing NestJS

• Design and manage data models with TypeORM

• Develop and support APIs used by a Next.js frontend

• Collaborate effectively with frontend developers and implement minor, targeted adjustments in the frontend codebase when necessary

• Utilize Supabase for data modeling and storage

• Construct and oversee services within a microservices architecture

• Convert product requirements into backend solutions

• Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code

• Troubleshoot issues across various services and environments

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions

• Deploy and manage services using GitHub Actions and Google Cloud

• Recognize technical debt and suggest feasible improvements

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in backend development

• Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript

• Practical experience with NestJS frameworks

• Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs and backend service architecture

• Experience with PostgreSQL databases

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of backend features

• Familiarity with microservices or distributed systems

• Knowledgeable in Git-based workflows and pull requests

• Capable of evaluating technical trade-offs and articulating decisions clearly

• Comfortable reading and making minor modifications in a Next.js codebase when required
