Mid-level Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve comprehensive features, overseeing the process from refinement to delivery in production.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to identify needs and suggest feasible technical solutions.

• Write high-quality code with an emphasis on readability, testing, and maintainability.

• Engage in code reviews, offer and receive constructive feedback, and help uphold the team's coding standards.

• Work together on enhancing code architecture, refactoring, and minimizing technical debt.

• Develop and support APIs, integrations, and reusable components aligned with the technology stack.

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining production systems, focusing on observability, bug fixing, and ongoing improvements.

• Contribute to a robust, collaborative, and results-driven software engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience as a mid-level software developer/engineer.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles: data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, Clean Code, and SOLID principles.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages/frameworks: Java, C#, or Python.

• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development practices.

• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases along with skills in writing efficient queries.

• Experience with REST APIs and service integrations.

• Background in teams utilizing agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.

• Nice to have: experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and managed services.

• Nice to have: familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and DevOps practices.

• Nice to have: experience with messaging and event systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

• Nice to have: knowledge of automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and a quality-oriented culture.
