Mid-Level AI Developer, Backend, API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services.

• Create and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Incorporate AI/ML models and external AI services into applications.

• Manage database design, optimization, and data processing tasks.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders.

• Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of backend systems.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Diagnose and resolve issues throughout the system.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).

• Experience in building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL).

• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Experience in integrating third-party services and APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.

• **AI-Specific Requirements**

• Proven experience working with AI/ML APIs or frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts.

• Experience in data preprocessing and model integration is a plus.
