Mid Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and execution of IDP and AI solutions within claims.

• Prepare data for the processing of documents.

• Convert outputs into organized datasets.

• Aid in the automation of document extraction and the enhancement of data workflows.

• Partner with business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to translate business challenges into technical solutions.

• Manage data using Python and SQL Server; create ad hoc queries to identify data anomalies and summarize data for pattern recognition.

• Manually label and validate datasets used for training.

• Employ AI technologies, such as natural language processing, to extract business information from unstructured and semi-structured data sources.

• Develop technical documentation to record end-to-end processes.

• Establish evaluation frameworks utilizing precision, recall, F1 scores, accuracy, and operational metrics.

• Create solutions to monitor and continuously assess the performance of implemented systems.

• Work alongside experienced modelers to develop predictive models and analytical solutions; utilize machine learning techniques like decision trees and clustering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, engineering, or related quantitative fields; or substantial experience in data analytics.

• Proven experience in manipulating, processing, and deriving value from datasets.

• Familiarity with data science, software development, engineering, or a similar field.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.

• Strong critical thinking skills to address complex data issues.

• Excellent communication skills that effectively convey statistical and business implications, while proactively addressing challenges.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced and highly collaborative global team environment.

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Git.

• Experience with evaluation frameworks and experimental design is preferred.

• Familiarity with OCR, NLP, and/or image analytics is preferred.

• Experience with cloud technologies and the implementation of data science/AI solutions is preferred.
