This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Oversee, coordinate, and engage in due diligence activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
• Maintain, update, and systematically organize deal documentation while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements and internal standards.
• Work closely with internal departments to assess feasibility and facilitate the smooth progression of transactions.
• Aid in the planning and execution of post-merger integration to ensure a seamless transition and value realization.
• Remain informed on market trends, industry advancements, and best practices in M&A to guide strategic choices.
• Create reports, presentations, and acquisition documentation for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
• Support all phases of the transaction lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, due diligence, negotiation assistance, integration planning, and preparation of required acquisition documents.
• Manage internal and external communications during the deal process, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
• Exhibit sound judgment in high-pressure situations; convey concepts clearly and concisely to executives.
• Foster trust and alignment with cross-functional leaders to promptly address diligence findings.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; an MBA is considered advantageous.
• Relevant experience in mergers & acquisitions or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience (2–4 years) as an M&A analyst is required.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to distill analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them confidently to senior leaders and external partners.
• Provide accurate written and verbal communication both within MEI leadership and when interacting with acquisition parties, knowing when to listen and when to contribute.
• Upholding strict confidentiality is crucial, necessitating the Associate to exercise full discretion with all sensitive information encountered.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage high-stakes situations with professionalism and composure.
• Strong attention to detail and the capability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, and PBI reports.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive, team-oriented demeanor.
• Travel may be necessary up to 25%-50% of the time.
• Must be able to thrive in a high-functioning team environment.
