Merchandise Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop plans at the department, class, and style-color level by channel and country, taking ownership of top-down planning guidance.

• Formulate strategic weekly sales plans that integrate into monthly and seasonal strategies while supporting Go-to-Market initiatives.

• Evaluate historical performance and current market trends to pinpoint risks and opportunities across various categories and classes.

• Ensure consistency and reconciliation between top-down financial objectives and bottom-up merchandise plans.

• Collaborate with Merchants to comprehend financial goals, craft line and Go-to-Market narratives, and influence assortment choices using data-driven insights.

• Oversee long-term budgeting and reforecasting processes.

• Facilitate pre-season and in-season middle-out reconciliation to meet financial and inventory objectives.

• Partner with and influence cross-functional teams to create strategies that enhance business performance and meet financial targets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 2–3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, merchandise financial planning, inventory management, or retail analytics.

• Capability to analyze complex data, predict business performance, and create actionable insights.

• Strong grasp of retail mathematics, inventory management, financial reporting, and forecasting techniques.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment.

• Proficient in planning systems, data analysis tools, and advanced Excel.

• Keen attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.

• Must reside in one of the approved states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Washington.
