MEP Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Implement mechanical engineering principles and practices in diverse HVAC and plumbing designs for buildings and facilities.

• Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to evaluate existing systems and select new systems for optimal functionality.

• Create construction plans in Revit alongside specifications and cost estimates under the guidance of licensed engineers.

• Execute site visits to confirm existing conditions and visually evaluate systems for effectiveness and remaining design lifespan.

• Compile technical reports that outline engineering analyses, code studies, system evaluations, suggested remediation strategies, energy utilization and optimization, and life cycle cost assessments.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, architects, surveyors, and scientists to deliver the best solutions and designs for clients.

• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors in a professional, ethical, and collaborative manner.

• Advocate for the stewardship of communities, the environment, and individuals affected by your work.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Previous experience using Revit.

• Relevant coursework or experience with mechanical engineering projects.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities in team settings, with the capacity to convey ideas effectively to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.

• Capability to work independently or as part of a team, and to seek assistance and guidance when required.
