Mental Health Therapist, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding care, encompassing mental health assessments and teletherapy, to PreK-12 students and school personnel in Cartwheel’s partner school districts.

• Engage in case discussions with fellow Cartwheel team members.

• Assist students and families in transitioning to community care providers.

• Establish collaborative, trustworthy, and enduring relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families.

• If qualified and interested, offer clinical supervision to other members of the care team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid license in Rhode Island to provide mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).

• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.

• A minimum of two years of experience delivering mental health services to children and youth via telehealth.

• Reliable access to high-speed internet (50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload).

• Availability to work hours during and particularly after school (e.g., 3-8 pm Eastern Time, Saturdays).

• Capability to deliver effective and safe care to children and adults, including managing crisis situations virtually.
