Mental Health Reviewing Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Mental Health Reviewing Consultant is tasked with conducting psychiatric and mental health consultations, along with providing written recommendations.

• The consultant will assess all documentation supplied by the Independent Medical Examination (IME) for adequacy, consistency, and credibility.

• Any discrepancies or pertinent issues will be communicated between the IME provider and the Mental Health Reviewing Consultant.

• The consultant is required to review and analyze all documents and submit a written recommendation to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) or Nurse Consultant via secure electronic transmission within ten (10) business days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a current, active, and unrestricted medical license to practice in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia.

• Should have obtained and maintained certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

• Evidence of at least five (5) years of experience demonstrating knowledge in forensic law enforcement hiring/screening processes, along with familiarity with the Office of Personnel Management's policies regarding Federal hiring.

• Preferred experience in reviewing Fitness for Duty Evaluations (FFDE) related to psychological and psychiatric conditions of law enforcement personnel.

• Experience in conducting psychiatric and mental health consultations and delivering written recommendations is required.
