Membership Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responds to and effectively directs phone calls and emails to deliver customer service for student and coach members, as well as Tabroom.com users, aiming to meet set objectives for response time and member satisfaction.

• Manages the NSDA Student Leadership Council, which includes student onboarding, conducting regular meetings, setting goals, overseeing projects, selecting members, and facilitating offboarding.

• Oversees the creation of instructional speech and debate materials for students by coordinating with external contractors and/or reviewing content.

• Engages in the welcome and orientation process for new members, which includes establishing new schools and managing coach offboarding.

• Aids in school retention and recruitment initiatives through outreach efforts directed at coaches and administrators.

• Participates in the National Tournament in June to assist with tournament-related customer service and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a progressively responsible role related to customer service and/or program management.

• Background in speech and debate activities, either as a student or a coach.

• Exhibits a professional and courteous attitude.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets, along with Microsoft Word 2008 or higher for Mac, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Capable of quickly learning and mastering various technological applications utilized by Association staff, such as Asana for project management, ZenDesk and Dialpad for customer support, Google documents (Drive), Slack, and the organization's custom applications.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
