Member Service Representative, Roadside Assistance – Morning Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Report to the Supervisor of Member Rescue

• Serve as one of the initial points of contact for members seeking roadside assistance

• Handle a high volume of incoming roadside assistance calls

• Accurately and thoroughly document member information

• Identify call locations and appropriately assign calls

• Efficiently process road service requests while utilizing geographical skills

• Assess the support needed for priority calls

• Remain informed about AMA products, services, Roadside Assistance offerings, and systems

• Acquire knowledge of AMA membership options and inform members about coverage and costs

• Work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, to support a 24/7 operation

• Remain seated for extended periods

⛳️ Requirements

• Open availability with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week

• Preference for daily 10-hour shifts starting between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, for at least 4 days per week

• Must be available for one Saturday or Sunday shift each week, or both weekend days one week followed by the next weekend off

• Required attendance at all Monday-to-Friday training sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for up to 4 weeks

• Availability for onsite equipment collection

• A private, secure, and dedicated home office space free from distractions

• Stable, high-speed internet connection

• Smartphone device (Apple or Android) for two-factor authentication

• Ability to successfully pass a Canadian Criminal Record Check

• High school diploma

• Prior customer service experience, preferably in a call centre setting

• Strong communication skills, telephone etiquette, and professionalism

• Proficient in computer usage and capable of learning new applications and systems

• Availability for varied shifts and ability to sit for extended periods

• Experience with mapping software is an advantage
