This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.
• Address incoming inquiries from users about D-SNPs, Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, and Medicaid, offering expert guidance and support primarily through in-app chat and secondarily via phone.
• Utilize AI-driven tools to effectively research plan specifics, compare coverage options, and distill complex regulatory information for users.
• Employ a user-focused approach, prioritizing user requirements and surpassing service expectations.
• Perform detailed comparisons of Medicare Advantage plans, ensuring users comprehend their healthcare coverage options tailored to their individual needs.
• Inform users about eligibility criteria, enrollment procedures, and Medicare compliance, assisting them in navigating the intricacies of healthcare regulations.
• Accurately process enrollment applications, providing users with essential information regarding deadlines and ongoing actions necessary to maintain their coverage effectively.
• Manage appointments with numerous insurance carriers across over 30 states and ensure adherence to licensing requirements as Propel broadens its D-SNP presence.
• Work collaboratively with product, design, and engineering teams to enhance app functionality, contributing insights derived from user interactions and enrollment experiences.
• Use AI tools to compose user communications, generate summaries, and identify trends in user inquiries that can drive product enhancements.
• Provide constructive feedback aimed at improving user and agent experiences within the application workflow.
• Be flexible outside of core D-SNP advisory duties as needed, assisting with broader Medicare enrollment initiatives, general app customer experience, and other team projects as we expand into new states and markets.
• Quick learner with a strong desire to gain expertise in Medicare/Medicaid on a national level.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in daily tasks for research, drafting, and problem-solving, with a willingness to learn and embrace new AI-powered tools as they become available.
• Capable of managing complex user inquiries and multitasking while gathering information from a user, including researching health plans and concepts.
• Quickly establishes credibility with users, showcasing skills in active listening, extensive knowledge in the advising area, and delivering confident consultations.
• Possess or be willing to acquire an active broker/agent health insurance license in your home state, along with additional non-resident state licensure (sponsored by the company).
• Willing to undergo training and complete tests relevant to obtaining appointments with health insurance carriers.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to explain complex concepts in a straightforward manner.
• A thorough understanding of the challenges faced by low-income Americans and a commitment to providing compassionate and personalized assistance.
• From October 15th to December 7th (the Annual Enrollment Period), refrain from taking vacation and be available for phone/chat shifts on weekends (likely one day per weekend during this time).
• Must successfully pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
