This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Confirm patient insurance upon check-in, ensuring that the insurance details are accurate, up-to-date, and properly documented.
• Analyze denied claims, pinpoint the reasons for denial, assist with reprocessing, and track issues while following up on any missing information.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, clearing any backlogs.
• Address outstanding insurance balances and resolve patient account discrepancies.
• Facilitate claims workflows, including those related to Cigna and Veterans Affairs claims.
• Oversee vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Ensure the completion, accuracy, and compliance of SOAP notes.
• Monitor missed and canceled appointments to identify scheduling patterns.
• Generate reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlogs, denied claims, and other operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate communication among providers, care teams, and administrative personnel.
• Proactively identify issues related to workflow, billing, documentation, scheduling, and patient accounts, offering recommended solutions.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience in supporting a healthcare practice in the United States.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and a professional communication style.
• Must be proficient in using Mac OS.
• High attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous position.
• Proactive, anticipatory, and highly detail-oriented.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient when interacting with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Willing to take personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Resourceful and self-motivated when adapting to new workflows.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable handling sensitive information.
• Previous experience in a chiropractic clinic is a plus.
• Experience with Cigna or Veterans Affairs claims is advantageous.
• Familiarity with EOB or billing backlog management is beneficial.
• Experience in preparing operational or billing reports is a plus.
• Mentoring or training experience is desirable.
• Experience supporting a clinic owner, provider, or executive leader is advantageous.
• Performance-based increase after 6 months.
