This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Confirm patient insurance details post check-in, ensuring accuracy, updates, and proper documentation.
• Analyze denied claims, determine reasons for denial, assist in reprocessing, track issues, and follow up on any missing information.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents, addressing any EOB backlogs.
• Resolve outstanding balances with insurance companies and address patient account concerns.
• Facilitate claims workflows, including those related to Cigna and Veterans Affairs.
• Manage vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Oversee the completion, accuracy, and compliance of SOAP notes.
• Track missed and canceled appointments, along with scheduling trends.
• Generate reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlogs, denied claims, and other operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate communications among providers, care teams, and administrative personnel.
• Identify gaps in workflow, billing issues, documentation delays, scheduling challenges, and patient account problems.
• Propose practical solutions to enhance clinic efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Background in supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, EOBs, claims processing, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be proficient in Mac OS.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience demonstrating leadership, ownership, or high accountability in prior roles.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs without prompting.
• Highly detail-oriented in billing, documentation, and reporting tasks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient when interacting with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Capable of taking personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Resourceful and self-motivated in learning new workflows.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable managing sensitive information.
