Medical Virtual Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Organize patient appointments and oversee provider schedules.

• Interact with patients through phone calls, emails, and patient portals.

• Update and manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).

• Confirm insurance eligibility and assist with authorization processes.

• Aid in billing, claims follow-up, and necessary documentation.

• Prepare intake forms, medical reports, and official correspondence.

• Facilitate communication between providers, staff, and patients.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and U.S. healthcare compliance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in healthcare is essential (Medical Assistant, Medical Admin, Nurse Assistant, Medical VA, or similar roles).

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (such as Epic, Athena, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, etc.).

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Dependable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.

• Preferred experience in supporting U.S. healthcare providers.

• Experience in mental health, primary care, or specialty clinics.

• Familiarity with insurance verification or billing processes.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
