Medical Science Liaison, Toxins

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Associate Director of Medical Affairs for ANZ to establish priorities, devise strategy, and implement the Medical Affairs plan.

• Gain insight into the local clinical environment, stakeholder requirements, and treatment pathways.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, nurses, and other healthcare stakeholders throughout ANZ.

• Execute territory and stakeholder planning while identifying unmet medical needs.

• Organize, document, and monitor scientific engagement activities.

• Facilitate non-promotional scientific discussions with healthcare professionals about Allergan Aesthetics products and their appropriate usage.

• Deliver scientific education, training, medical insights, and updates.

• Assist in educational initiatives, speaker programs, scientific meetings, congresses, and professional forums.

• Uphold scientific credibility and therapeutic area expertise as a reliable external resource.

• Create and implement KOL engagement plans and nurture relationships with emerging leaders.

• Represent the company's scientific viewpoint at customer meetings and professional gatherings.

• Keep abreast of scientific, clinical, and market developments in ANZ, Asia-Pacific, and globally.

• Collect and relay external insights, competitor intelligence, and scientific observations.

• Provide accurate and balanced medical advice for promotional and educational materials.

• Report adverse events within 24 hours according to company policies.

• Engage in WHS programs and advocate for a safe work environment.

• Adhere to AbbVie and Allergan codes of conduct, compliance processes, and relevant laws.

• Execute ad hoc administrative tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in science is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of post-qualification work experience is required.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical-related sector is essential.

• Prior experience in a customer-facing position is necessary.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the working time across ANZ.

• Exceptional scientific communication and presentation abilities are required.

• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to critically assess and convey clinical data.

• Capability to learn and relay clinical and non-clinical technical information to audiences with varying levels of scientific expertise.

• Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a matrix environment.

• High professional integrity with a solid understanding of compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.

• Strong project management capabilities are essential.

• Excellent listening skills with the ability to capture and synthesize insights.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

• A B Pharm, Nursing, Pharm D, MSc, or PhD is preferred.

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical commercial/sales roles is highly desirable.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience within a medical affairs team in the medical device or pharmaceutical science sector is preferred.

• Experience in clinical research, including phase IV studies, is advantageous.

• Flexibility to occasionally attend business meetings outside standard working hours is required.
