This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Cultivate and sustain essential scientific expertise for credible communication with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Build and foster relationships with both established and emerging external experts.
• Address inquiries by supplying scientific and medical information to both external experts and internal stakeholders.
• Engage in and monitor investigator-initiated studies, clinical trials, and medical projects.
• Offer scientific support and maintain connections with external experts and academic institutions.
• Present scientific information to healthcare professionals, whether individually or in group settings.
• Assist in the selection of qualified healthcare professionals for collaborative research and support during lectures or meetings.
• Uphold scientific and educational integrity in collaborative initiatives such as advisory boards, congresses, and symposiums.
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences, preparing summaries of essential data.
• Coordinate scientific and medical engagement activities among stakeholders within accounts.
• Create interaction plans that align with the Scientific Interaction Plan to meet medical objectives.
• Communicate and work collaboratively with in-field team members to enhance business objectives.
• An advanced degree is required: Doctorate, PharmD, or MD.
• Relevant business experience with a strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred.
• A background in Eye Care/Ophthalmology is considered advantageous.
• Prior customer-facing experience within the healthcare industry.
• Experience in presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications.
• Familiarity with scientific methods used in clinical research.
• Understanding of current legislative and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge regarding the assigned therapeutic area, product, and medical research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Comfortable using technology and various tools/systems for daily tasks.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Fluency in English is a critical requirement.
