This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +8 more states.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with both national and regional medical and scientific leaders, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence that align with Acadia’s Medical Affairs strategy.
• Engage key opinion leaders in substantive scientific dialogue, research conversations, and educational initiatives regarding current and emerging therapies.
• Assist in clinical research efforts, which include engaging trial sites and nurturing and facilitating investigator-initiated research proposals.
• Develop and uphold comprehensive scientific, clinical, and therapeutic knowledge across Acadia’s product portfolio.
• Work collaboratively across functions, adhering to all guidelines, with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers to support coordinated field execution.
• Provide strategic field insights that guide Medical Affairs and broader organizational decision-making processes.
• Recognize disease state insights and compound characteristics that enhance product differentiation and scientific significance.
• Deliver exceptional scientific, clinical, and educational support to internal stakeholders and external healthcare partners.
• Represent Acadia at medical meetings, congresses, and educational programs, while also supporting Commercial activities including speaker and sales training.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• An advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, specifically in roles with direct scientific or medical affairs responsibilities.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison in a field-based medical affairs position.
• Proven scientific and clinical expertise, particularly in rare diseases, epilepsy, neurology, or psychiatry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and clinical factors that influence pharmaceutical and managed care environments.
• Demonstrated capability to convey intricate scientific and drug-related information to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, with residence within the designated territory.
