This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.
• Engage with Hematology healthcare decision-makers to promote and further Amgen’s scientific platform.
• Convey intricate, state-of-the-art scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers, including those within academic medical centers.
• Supply clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
• Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau, ensuring they are informed about new data.
• Address investigator-sponsored research proposals.
• Assist in Amgen-sponsored research initiatives.
• Offer insights gathered from field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to Amgen partners.
• Provide scientific support for commercial, corporate accounts, and matrix colleagues managing HCP inquiries.
• Foster scientific relationships between Amgen and fellows in training.
• Lead or contribute to committees and project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics.
• Exemplify Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes in field interactions and decision-making.
• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Preference for Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.; other doctoral degrees will be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medically related field.
• At least 1 year dedicated to clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Post-doctoral training such as residencies and/or fellowships may be counted as medically related experience.
• Preferred current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Expertise in the hematology therapeutic area is preferred.
• Capability to articulate complex scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers.
• Ability to deliver clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
