This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Assist the MSL TA head and local TA lead in crafting local territory R&D strategies
• Deliver precise, clear, and valuable information about Amgen's science and products to the medical community
• Provide field insights to internal teams
• Engage with healthcare partners to educate and share clinical and scientific data
• Convey clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy groups, and access facilitators
• Address unsolicited inquiries in alignment with MSL compliance standards
• Present field insights and observations to internal teams
• Execute a scientific engagement plan in accordance with annual MSL objectives and metrics
• Develop and implement local opinion leader strategies that align with the scientific engagement plan
• Assist with speaker training and ensure speakers are kept informed of new data
• Support Amgen-sponsored research and may take on the role of study lead
• Connect with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research
• Lead or contribute to project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics
• Oversee and assist with congress activities in line with strategy
• Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues and may serve as the primary point of contact
• Maintain clinical expertise and ensure timely completion of assigned training
• May act as a training lead, New Hire Mentor, and/or International MSL mentor or trainer
• Doctorate degree, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
• PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred; other doctoral degrees will be considered
• Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in scientific or medical affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical setting
• Three or more years of clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research experience
• Experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships
• Expertise in the Rare Disease therapeutic area
• Self-motivated individual who shows tact and integrity in communications and interactions
• Ability to sustain clinical expertise and knowledge
• Capability to complete assigned training promptly
• Ability to adhere to MSL standards and work collaboratively across functions
