This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and sustain scientific expertise for credible communication with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Establish and cultivate professional relationships with external experts and healthcare providers.
• Engage in and monitor investigator-initiated studies, clinical trials, and medical projects.
• Offer scientific assistance and maintain connections with external experts and academic institutions.
• Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, both individually and in groups.
• Participate in the selection of qualified healthcare professionals for research, lectures, meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and symposiums.
• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences.
• Create summaries of essential data presented at scientific events.
• Coordinate scientific and medical engagement initiatives across stakeholders within accounts.
• Formulate interaction plans that align with the Scientific Interaction Plan to achieve medical goals.
• Communicate and collaborate with field team members to optimize business objectives.
• An advanced degree is required: PhD, PharmD, or M.D.
• Relevant business experience with a strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred.
• A background in Dermatology is considered advantageous.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing healthcare position.
• Experience in presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications.
• Understanding of scientific methods applied to clinical research.
• Familiarity with current legislative and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong interest in developing and sustaining expert knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area, product, and medical research.
• Proficiency in the English language, both oral and written.
• Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Comfort with various technologies, tools, and systems for daily tasks.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Ability to comprehend stakeholder needs and incorporate information into field-team engagement strategies.
• Capability to coordinate scientific and medical engagement efforts across stakeholders within an account.
• Proficiency in developing interaction plans that align with the Scientific Interaction Plan.
• Ability to make data-driven business decisions and strategies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with in-field team members.
