Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the global KOL engagement strategy for Precision Diagnosis.

• Cultivate and oversee relationships with KOLs, clinical experts, researchers, healthcare institutions, professional societies, academic entities, research organizations, healthcare networks, and clinical partners.

• Connect external specialists with internal teams across Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, R&D, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Science, and Business Leadership.

• Facilitate the generation of scientific insights through advisory boards, expert interactions, and Voice of Customer initiatives.

• Convert external scientific and clinical insights into actionable recommendations for innovation, product development, evidence strategies, and business decisions.

• Design and implement scientific engagement initiatives at congresses, symposia, reference sites, and educational events.

• Aid in evidence generation, identify research opportunities and evidence gaps, and contribute to publication strategies, scientific communications, and dissemination of clinical data.

• Establish and manage strategic scientific collaborations.

• Maintain engagement databases, track KPIs, assess program effectiveness, and continually enhance scientific engagement initiatives.

• Ensure governance, compliance, performance monitoring, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in scientific relationship management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors, or equivalent clinical experience.

• Demonstrated success in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Research, scientific engagement, healthcare innovation, or related roles.

• Proven experience in developing and sustaining relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, and external stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in scientific engagement, KOL management, clinical evidence generation, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience in diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy, scientific collaborations, advisory boards, investigator-initiated studies, clinical research, scientific publications, congress activities, or medical device development is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and strategic relationship-building capabilities.

• Master's degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related scientific field.

• A PhD or MBA is considered advantageous.

• Clinical experience as a physician, especially in Radiology or Interventional Radiology, is strongly preferred.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across functions and geographies in a global, matrixed environment.

• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

• Capability to translate clinical and scientific insights into practical recommendations.

• Ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and ethical standards.

• Capacity to perform essential physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

• Candidates must reside in or be within commuting distance to the specified locations.

• A strong preference for candidates located in EST or CST time zones.
