Medical Science Liaison

📋 Description

• In the role of Medical Science Liaison, you will utilize your clinical knowledge in Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to forge strategic alliances within integrated delivery systems and provider networks, as well as among key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem.

• This role is crucial in furthering our organization's mission to enhance access to transplant services.

• You will take charge of identifying, pursuing, and nurturing strategic partnerships that enable NMDP to connect with patients earlier in their disease journey through our access programs and resources, ultimately resulting in significant improvements in patient experiences and outcomes.

• Travel will be required 20-40% of the time to seek and cultivate new partnership opportunities with integrated delivery and provider networks, along with other key stakeholders in the hematology oncology and BMT landscape.

• Participate in conferences, partner meetings, roadshows, and thought leadership events to network, explore collaboration opportunities, and stay updated on industry trends.

• Serve as a reliable internal and external clinical subject matter expert on issues related to hematology oncology and BMT.

• Offer expertise and guidance to internal teams and external partners on clinical best practices, emerging trends, and developments in the industry.

• Gather, document, and disseminate clinical insights.

• Confidently engage in public speaking opportunities to represent the organization and communicate advancements and challenges affecting hematology oncology and BMT care at conferences, meetings, and events.

• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders from patient and provider services, marketing, enablement, research, and data teams to support partnership initiatives and align efforts.

• Keep comprehensive records of partnership management activities, including leads, contacts, and insights in Salesforce.

• Monitor and report on key metrics and outcomes related to partnership initiatives to evaluate effectiveness and guide future strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (NP, or PA) is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience caring for patients with hematologic malignancies and those undergoing transplant is essential.

• Comprehensive understanding of the clinical pathways and management of patients with hematologic malignancies and those receiving transplantation, including knowledge of donor selection, conditioning regimens, post-transplant care, and graft-versus-host disease management.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building rapport and collaborating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Proven capability to influence practice changes and foster alignment around shared goals within complex healthcare environments.

• Self-motivated, comfortable navigating uncertainty, working autonomously, and adapting to change.

• Experience in developing and implementing educational initiatives and providing thought leadership in clinical environments.

• Results-oriented, strategic thinker capable of identifying partnership and innovation opportunities to enhance patient care delivery.

• Committed to ongoing education and staying knowledgeable about advancements in hematology oncology and BMT.
