Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture relationships with thought leaders, healthcare professionals, study investigators, and professional organizations within the designated territory.

• Assist research initiatives involving development and clinical site investigators.

• Act as a point of contact for HCPs interested in investigator-initiated research and facilitate the review of research proposals.

• Participate in scientific discussions in response to inquiries from HCPs.

• Convey pertinent scientific and clinical information to HCPs and researchers.

• Present scientific information to advisory boards, patient advocacy groups, payors, and other relevant audiences.

• Evaluate community needs and provide precise, impartial information to senior management.

• Facilitate company-sponsored research, investigator-initiated research, and publications in accordance with PhRMA guidelines.

• Assist in the planning and execution of advisory boards.

• Keep abreast of emerging scientific literature and clinical data.

• Aid in congress and conference strategies while sharing scientific insights.

• Adhere to company SOPs, regulatory requirements, applicable laws, and PhRMA guidelines.

• Complete any additional assigned tasks promptly.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in science or clinical fields, such as MD, DO, Pharm.D., PhD, NP, or PA.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison is preferred.

• Experience in rare diseases or prior exposure to hepatology and/or gastroenterology is preferred.

• Capability to comprehend and effectively convey scientific information.

• Excellent oral, written, and communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including up to 60% overnight travel.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Openness to learning new software applications.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Strong business acumen.

• Experience with product launches is preferred.

• Must reside in the New England area or the assigned field medical territory: Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and upstate New York, excluding New York City.
