This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Increase awareness of AVITA Medical's skin regeneration products within key accounts in the acute wound division, which encompasses burns and soft tissue reconstruction.
• Participate in significant conferences (burns, trauma, plastics) aimed at collecting competitive insights and other relevant information that could influence clinical development of AVITA Medical products.
• Proactively seek out and engage with both emerging and established key opinion leaders in the acute wound sector.
• Promote the submission of conference abstracts and assist in creating content for podium and poster presentations at conferences.
• Contribute to planning for publications and the submission of journal manuscripts.
• Develop and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders to aid in the execution of clinical studies.
• Interact with healthcare professionals and assess investigator-initiated research protocols and their results.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to convert clinical and scientific data into marketing and educational resources.
• Help review and approve materials intended for customers.
• Provide sales training and support for field activities as required (customer meetings, device education, and case coverage).
• Assist in the creation of company-sponsored clinical study protocols that align with the demonstration of key product benefits and pre-clinical studies.
• Address customer inquiries and facilitate peer-to-peer communication.
• Support the transformation of Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback into medically relevant product design specifications and usability testing.
• Remain updated on current scientific trends, perceptions of company data, and competitor products.
• Lead project prioritization, time management, and workload distribution within the department.
• An advanced degree in a medical field, life sciences, or public health is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical education, clinical research, MSL, or a medical affairs role.
• Proficient in medical writing, including study protocols, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
• Experience managing acute wounds (burn injuries/soft tissue injuries) is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time may be necessary.
• Strong understanding of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Familiarity with skin cell biology and pre-clinical models of wound healing.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, bloodborne pathogens, and operating room etiquette.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
