Medical Records Specialist, Bilingual Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provides assistance with the Release of Information (ROI) requests.

• Identifies records to be released by assessing requestor information.

• Responds to inquiries via phone calls and assists walk-in customers.

• Records medical record requests in the ROI On-Line database.

• Adheres to facility policies and regulations.

• Manages and documents cash payments for requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one year of experience in data entry within computer systems.

• Must be fully bilingual in Spanish.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations is preferred.

• Previous experience in Release of Information at a physician’s office or HIM Department is a plus.
