This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.
• Utilize ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions to code medical records.
• Examine medical records to guarantee the specificity of diagnoses, procedures, and ensure optimal reimbursement for hospital and/or professional services.
• Analyze complex medical records and precisely code primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and/or CPT coding guidelines.
• Oversee and review the tasks of designated team members.
• Maintain quality assurance through routine audits.
• Provide consultation and education to physicians regarding coding practices.
• A high school diploma is mandatory.
• RHIA certification is required, with no prior experience needed.
• RHIT certification is required, with no prior experience needed.
• CCS certification requires one year of coding experience.
• CPC or HCS-D certification necessitates two years of coding experience.
• Must possess one of the following current certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) for Hospital Coding, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) for Hospital Coding, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) for Hospital Coding, or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) for Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D) in Homecare Coding.
• Currently offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus, distributed in four equal payments over 24 months in 6-month intervals.
