Medical Epidemiologist – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate protocols concerning study objectives, research inquiries, hypotheses, study design, sample size, sampling strategies, data collection, data analysis, data management, security and confidentiality measures, backups, and record retention policies.

• Analyze manuscripts for study objectives, research inquiries, hypotheses, study design, statistical methodologies, conclusions, limitations, tables, and figures.

• Conduct spot-checks for consistency of results across abstracts, manuscript text, tables, and figures.

• Evaluate the validity of epidemiological methodologies and issues related to human subjects research.

• Provide support to a federal government public health client.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a clinician or medical officer.

• Specialized knowledge in epidemiology and public health, particularly in HIV and tuberculosis.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and disseminating public health science initiatives.

• Competence in protocol and manuscript development.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and reviewing abilities.

• Background in conducting scientific reviews, including matters related to human subjects.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize tasks.

• Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient communication and presentation capabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• High level of attention to detail.

• Eligibility to obtain government clearance.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution is required.

• Capability to sit for extended periods at a desk and use a computer.

• May occasionally need to lift up to 25 pounds.
