Medical Director – Rare Endocrine Disorders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as the medical content leader for a specific Therapeutic Area.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across CMR, Marketing, and the Global organization to facilitate strategic development and implementation.

• Guide the Core Medical Team, Project Team, and National Advisory Board meetings.

• Represent NNI on Global Project Teams (GPT) and Commercial Access Teams (CAT).

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations of assets under consideration for licensing and/or acquisition.

• Secure approval of the Medical Product Plan from Medical Affairs and overall CMR management.

• Ensure alignment of the Medical Product Plan with Commercial colleagues.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to monitor key projects in the Medical Product Plan and report on budget status.

• Oversee the planning and execution of National Advisory Board meetings.

• Cultivate trusting working relationships with Project Vice Presidents (PVP) pertinent to the therapeutic area.

• Present findings and recommendations to NNI management.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or another relevant doctoral degree.

• At least 10 years of combined clinical, research, and/or industry experience required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Director role is preferred.

• Experience in research or the pharmaceutical industry within the relevant therapeutic area is preferred.

• Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in the industry is preferred.

• Strong strategic mindset, agility, and problem-solving abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of market needs and resource allocation.

• Expertise in clinical trial methodology and conduct, GCP principles, publications, ISS, medical education, and other medical product support activities.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proven success in establishing relationships with internal and external customers.

• Ability to work independently, proactively identify, address, and resolve challenges, and be regarded as a valuable resource who exemplifies leadership for others.
