Medical Director – Radiation Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will commence training remotely in a well-structured environment, receiving support from trainers, mentors, and leadership to ensure your success.

• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity utilizing EviCore’s case management software.

• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss the evidence-based medical necessity and appropriateness of the requested service or treatment.

• Utilize your clinical expertise to suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.

• Collaborate with over 500 EviCore physician colleagues to help guarantee that patients receive appropriate care through evidence-based decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Radiation Oncology.

• Eligibility to obtain additional state licensure as required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency or fellowship.

• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards is advantageous.

• Ability to adhere to a fixed weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).

• Strong computer skills: capable of working independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.

• Meet the physical demands of the role, including, but not limited to, typing, speaking, and listening for 100% of the time.

• In compliance with our HITECH Security Accreditation, a company-provided encrypted workstation must be hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not permitted.
