This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
β’ Utilize your expertise in Pain Medicine disciplines to provide evidence-based medical reviews that enhance high-quality patient care.
β’ Collaborate with healthcare professionals and remain updated on healthcare regulations and industry trends while reviewing a diverse array of cases.
β’ Begin your training remotely in a structured setting, supported by trainers, mentors, and leadership to ensure your success.
β’ Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity using EviCoreβs case management software.
β’ Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss the evidence-based medical necessity and appropriateness of the requested service or treatment.
β’ Use your clinical knowledge to suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.
β’ Collaborate with over 500 EviCore physician colleagues to guarantee that patients receive appropriate care through evidence-based decision-making.
β’ M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
β’ Clinical interventional pain experience is required.
β’ Must be eligible to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency or fellowship.
β’ Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, as well as Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards, is advantageous.
β’ Ability to commit to a consistent weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).
β’ Strong computer skills: capable of working independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.
β’ Must meet the physical demands of the position, including, but not limited to, typing, speaking, and listening 100% of the time.
