This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Accountable for specific elements of medical policies and initiatives.
• Conduct medical evaluations and engage with the provider communities within designated areas.
• This position allows for remote work.
• Requires participation in rotating weekend and holiday on-call duties.
• A physician (M.D. or D.O.) holding a current and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory.
• Must maintain Board Certification from a specialty board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties, the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialists.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Skills in strategic thinking.
• Competence in computer skills, including software applications such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes, essential for electronic documentation of case reviews.
• PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of experience in Managed Care.
• 3 years of experience in Utilization Management.
• Specialization in OBGYN or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
