Medical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluates medical records and accurately assigns and sequences CPT, ICD-10CM, and HCPCS codes/modifiers.

• Generates physician queries in accordance with established protocols.

• Conducts charge entry for professional services.

• Keeps up with mandatory continuing education hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is mandatory.

• Familiarity with ICD-10CM and CPT coding standards is essential.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

• In-depth knowledge of various EMR platforms.

• One or more of the following credentials must be obtained within 12 months: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CCC.
