Medical Central Scheduling Call Center Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming calls swiftly and professionally, offering scheduling assistance to patients.

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple departments and specialties utilizing electronic health record (EHR) and scheduling systems.

• Confirm insurance eligibility and secure necessary authorizations or referrals when appropriate.

• Verify appointments and communicate pre-visit instructions to patients.

• Organize appointment timings based on provider availability, patient requirements, and clinic operations.

• Precisely enter and update patient demographic and insurance details.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant federal and state regulations.

• Work collaboratively with clinical staff to promote smooth patient care and scheduling precision.

• Address patient questions and escalate issues as necessary to the suitable department.

• Conduct daily appointment audits to verify accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• 1–2 years of experience in medical scheduling or a front office healthcare environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks), and insurance verification processes is advantageous.
