This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess and analyze medical claims for accuracy.
• Confirm patient identity, examinations conducted, ordering physician or non-physician practitioner, and relevant documentation.
• Review the ETech Log and Manual Tech Log to ensure patient data accuracy.
• Validate specified fields on patient claims utilizing medical records.
• Update information for patients and insurance providers.
• Reach out to clients to gather any missing details.
• Communicate with insurance companies to secure pre-authorizations.
• Stay informed about CPT, ICD-10, federal regulations, and associated guidelines.
• Acquire cross-training in five billing work queues: MBI Medicare, Missing Payor, Billing, Dr Mobilex, and MBI Replacement Plan.
• Attend and engage in departmental meetings.
• Execute other tasks assigned to support the organization's objectives.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate level communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills at an intermediate level.
• Intermediate time management abilities.
• Customer service skills at an intermediate level.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary to achieve departmental objectives.
