Medical Billing Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough medical insurance verifications of benefits (VOBs)

• Submit and monitor medical preauthorization requests

• Track and follow up on pending medical claims

• Liaise with insurance companies regarding the status of claims and documentation needs

• Analyze insurance policies and benefit limitations

• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain spreadsheets

• Collaborate closely with dental offices and billing specialists

• Assist in appeals and requests for additional documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in dental or medical insurance billing is preferred

• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is advantageous

• Excellent phone and communication skills

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

• Experience with insurance portals such as Availity, UHC, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and Humana is preferred

• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
