Medical Billing and Coding Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for coding and abstracting patient medical appointments

• Conduct research and analyze data requirements for reimbursement

• Ensure accurate sequencing of codes

• Analyze, file, and manage medical records

• Maintain thorough documentation of any deficiencies or issues related to medical records

• Offer education and training to fellow coding personnel

• Review and validate documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent qualification

• Prior experience as a Medical Billing and Coder or in a comparable role

• Familiarity with coding software and various computer applications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly with the V-Lookup function

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities

• Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality standards
