This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
⢠Review clinical documentation to ensure completeness prior to billing.
⢠Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and relevant HCPCS codes.
⢠Input charges into the electronic health record (EHR) or billing system.
⢠Submit claims in accordance with payer-specific guidelines.
⢠Confirm patient demographics, insurance, and payer information.
⢠Identify and rectify claim rejections, coding inaccuracies, and data-entry discrepancies.
⢠Assist in resolving denials by addressing coding or documentation issues.
⢠Ensure all rendered services are accurately captured and billed.
⢠Maintain billing records that are organized and ready for audit.
⢠Adhere to the workflows, quality standards, and productivity expectations set by Team Lead.
⢠Communicate any gaps in documentation, authorization challenges, and system obstacles.
⢠Aid in managing billing backlogs during high-volume periods.
⢠Support quality assurance reviews and audits as needed.
⢠Engage in training, coaching, and cross-training initiatives.
⢠Provide coverage in the absence of team members.
⢠Contribute to the enhancement of billing accuracy and turnaround-time processes.
⢠A minimum of 2ā4 years of experience in U.S. medical billing and coding.
⢠Preferred experience in outpatient mental health or behavioral health billing.
⢠Proficient understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and basic HCPCS coding.
⢠Familiarity with U.S. insurance systems, Medicaid, and managed care billing practices.
⢠Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
⢠Capability to adhere to established workflows and quality standards.
⢠Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
⢠Preferred experience in secure virtual workstation environments.
⢠Relevant professional coding certifications such as CPC or equivalent are preferred.
⢠Must operate in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
⢠Required to use the designated Amazon Workstation; personal devices, local storage, screenshots, external email forwarding, and unauthorized systems are not permitted.
⢠Must adhere to HIPAA regulations, client contracts, company policies, security measures, monitoring, and activity logging requirements.
