Media Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage the complete delivery of media components for designated custom courseware products.

• Partner with project editors, instructors/authors, and other stakeholders to strategize, assess, and deliver digital content that adheres to quality, accuracy, accessibility, and user experience standards.

• Independently create, oversee, and maintain Jira tickets throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring workflows are properly followed; dependencies are recognized, risks are preempted, and progress is made with minimal supervision.

• Supervise quality assurance, launch, and lifecycle management of media products.

• Collaborate with media production, QA vendors, and internal partners to ready products for launch, resolve issues, and manage updates throughout the product lifecycle.

• Recruit, onboard, and supervise contractors, freelancers, vendors, and accuracy reviewers as needed.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance workflows and associated documentation for assigned topics or product areas.

• Act as a technical and courseware authority for custom products.

• Keep abreast of pedagogical and market trends to support the strategy for custom products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• 3+ years of editorial experience in educational publishing

• 1+ year of media editorial experience or equivalent experience in digital learning products

• Proven ability to operate with a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and self-direction

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of conveying complex information to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

• Established project management and organizational skills, including the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

• Ability to work collaboratively in group problem-solving scenarios and adhere to established timelines and budgets.
