Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Integrate practical engineering knowledge into CoLab’s product development initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to enhance engineering workflows within CoLab.

• Engage with customers to identify challenges in design reviews, collaboration hurdles, and process deficiencies.

• Evaluate and verify product concepts through an engineering perspective.

• Assist in converting complex technical workflows into straightforward product requirements and user insights.

• Facilitate customer discussions, product demonstrations, and feedback sessions when in-depth engineering context is essential.

• Work across departments to enhance the capture and application of engineering knowledge within CoLab.

• Keep abreast of new trends in mechanical engineering workflows, CAD collaboration, and AI-driven engineering tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in product development, manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace, or similar sectors.

• Knowledge of CAD systems and engineering review processes.

• Experience in bringing products to market.

• Proficiency in working iteratively on designs.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to collaborate across functional teams, both technical and non-technical.

• A curious, adaptable nature with a strong commitment to continuous learning.

• Bonus points for:

• Experience with PLM, CAD collaboration, or engineering workflow software.

• Familiarity with design reviews, change management, or supplier collaboration processes.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise engineering teams.

• Interest in AI and the future of engineering productivity tools.
