Mechanical Draftsperson – Fabrication & Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive technical drawings and machine-ready files for fabrication and workshop production.

• Produce DXF or DWG files for plate laser cutting needs.

• Develop STEP files for tube laser cutting utilizing appropriate 3D modeling software.

• Generate STEP files for tube laser operations as distinct components instead of assemblies.

• Align tube models to the X, Y, or Z 3D coordinate system axis to ensure accurate machine section generation.

• Interpret technical specifications, dimensions, and production requirements effectively.

• Assist in drafting for new workshop machinery, including tube bevel lasers and flatbed laser equipment.

• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from the workshop, production, and stakeholders.

• Maintain well-organized drawing files, revisions, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with workshop and operational teams to guarantee that drawings and files are ready for production.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of drafting templates, file preparation standards, and production workflows.

• Perform additional tasks relevant to the position as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred tertiary qualification in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• 3-5+ years of experience in drafting, technical drawing, or manufacturing documentation roles.

• Proven experience in preparing DXF, DWG, and STEP files for production or fabrication settings.

• Strong expertise in 2D and 3D drafting or modeling software, including SolidWorks, TopSolid, Solid Edge, AutoCAD 3D, or similar tools.

• Background in supporting fabrication, manufacturing, metalworking, or workshop environments.

• Ability to create production-ready files for laser cutting and associated machinery.

• Solid understanding of file structure, component-level modeling, and drawing precision.

• Capability to accurately interpret technical dimensions, machine requirements, and production specifications.

• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to drawing precision.

• Proficient in managing revisions, file control, and structured documentation processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with workshop and operational teams.

• Experience in supporting laser cutting, CNC, tube processing, or sheet metal fabrication environments is a plus.

• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing operational priorities.
