This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Create and engineer crane systems, components, and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks.
• Employ Automated 3D Models and modify them for project drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure that designs align with customer requirements and the Company’s design standards.
• Engage in design reviews and actively contribute to initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
• Verify that designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Work with design professionals, clients, and suppliers to effectively engineer projects.
• Support project technical drawings, calculations, and submissions.
• Perform 3D design tasks and demonstrate the capability to manage moderate to complex design projects.
• Ensure that designs are cost-effective and adhere to American Equipment’s standards.
• SolidWorks Professional Certification (CSWP) is mandatory.
• Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE) is preferred.
• Over 5 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in crane design or the heavy equipment sector.
• Strong grasp of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with PDM and part creation processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with Legacy AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
• Familiarity with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, and OSHA specifications and requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
