Mechanical Construction Estimator – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Prepare precise and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems in data center construction initiatives.

• Review project documentation and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.

• Collaborate with project teams to formulate thorough cost management strategies.

• Evaluate project requirements and propose value engineering alternatives.

• Conduct cost risk assessments and contribute to value engineering discussions.

• Communicate and liaise with clients, contractors, and various stakeholders.

• Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to generate estimates.

• Offer estimating advice, insights, and analyses to project stakeholders.

• Stay updated on industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies.

• Assist in the development of estimating standards and best practices.

• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3+ years of pertinent experience.

• Preference for candidates located in or near San Francisco, California.

• Experience in a client-facing position.

• Experience in supporting program-level cost management for medium to large-scale construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction industry technical issues, including value management and value engineering.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Proficient in using industry-specific estimating software and tools.

• Ability to comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.
