This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct analysis and assessment of unusual network and system events within a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC) through lead-less threat hunting.
• Partner with MDR Analysts to investigate and research new cyber security threats, serving as an escalation point for advanced intrusion analysis.
• Create incident analysis reports and collaborate with various business units and clients to resolve issues effectively.
• Assist in the design and establishment of operational processes and protocols to enhance overall SOC performance.
• Deliver actionable threat and vulnerability assessments based on security incidents across multiple independent customer environments.
• Develop test lab environments to explore emerging techniques and contribute to the internal and external knowledge enhancement of threat operations.
• Evaluate sandbox technologies for additional IOCs identified from artifacts discovered during analysis.
• A minimum of three (3+) years of experience in an information security role.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• At least one (1+) year of experience in triaging endpoint events from EDR, NGAV, and supporting the Incident Response (IR) process.
• In-depth knowledge of assessing threat indicators in a Windows Environment (e.g., Malware/Malicious Anomalies/Abnormal Network Activity/Root Level Compromise, Forensic Artifacts, etc.).
• Strong understanding of at least two of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, or OSX.
• Familiarity with the ELK stack (Dashboards, Logstash Configuration, Searching) and scripting/programming using Powershell, Python, and Go.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and IAM, as well as Azure/M365.
• Proficiency in developing, refining, and executing lead-less threat hunting analysis to identify new or potential incidents and report findings.
• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities to dissect issues (hunting for anomalous pattern detection).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively summarize and present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
